THE PUBLIC impressions generated by the media in describing our province were mostly handiworks of transient journalists who, for most of the times, outweighed good accomplishments with minor and unhealthy political issues.

Mindanao then became vulnerable to the detrimental consequences of  irresponsible journalism.

 The very reason the HEADLINES came into being was to counter-act the destructive effect of irresponsible journalism. we believe it is high time for every patriotic journalists to hold ground and protect our homeland from the damaging effect of reckless journalism.

 The HEADLINES is a development-oriented newspaper. it aims at putting on print every details the mission and vison of the local governments and bring it at the doorstep of every household.
